Continue to rework the grid.
As the health care debate comes down to the wire, it should be nothing short of obvious to Christians that what we are facing is a form of evil that this nation hasn’t had to face in its history. Our forefathers have fought many a war against enemies that were power hungry, corrupt and evil, yet none pose a challenge quite like what we are seeing today.
In case it isn’t obvious, however, let me help clear some fog.
With a very clear majority of the people of this nation saying loudly that the current health care takeover is not what they want, the power mad folks in congress continue to march ahead with the “nuclear” and “slaughter” options. Do you think God just might have a message in this? The names given to the methods our “leaders” are using to pass this hideous legislation are more accurate to what can happen if passed than 97% of the people in this nation realize.
People are not thinking through the logical conclusion of this legislation, nor its unintended consequences. Let’s look at two possible scenarios…
Imagine a day when a loved one is stricken with cancer. You go to the doctor and are given a list of options for your treatment. Because of age, social status, previous health history, etc. – the most effective options are not presented to you. Fine, you say. I’ll opt for some unconventional treatments which have a great track record of success. Wrong – they have long since been made illegal. I’ll go south of the boarder for treatment. Wrong – new treaties are in place which would prohibit you from doing so. Your options are to a) die slowly over the next few months or b) die quickly as you prepare to be euthanized.
Or, say, your child falls and breaks their arm and you go to the doctor for treatment. The government launches an investigation and discovers that your child broke their arm while jumping on a trampoline you have had for the past 7 or 8 years. Because it is larger than the government allows, and because it does not have a net, you are required to pay a fine of $5,000. Your family is put on a government watch list as being negligent parents and you find yourself “on probation.” If another child gets hurt using a non-government approved device, they will come and take your children away from you “for their safety.” Child number two gets hurt. Up the driveway comes Child Protective Services – oh yes, by the way, now with the authority of the UN Rights of The Child Treaty behind them.
Any person who does not believe that the above scenarios are not only possible, but in some form or another probable under a government run health care system of the future, is simply not willing to face reality. The freedom such a plan would rob from them to make decisions over the most intimate aspects of their life – their health – and the ability of the government to control the makeup of the land they live on, the products they buy, the tools they use, etc. – is immeasurable. My message to them – wake up. Many are. And that is why this is such a critical issue.
The people of this nation who dearly love their freedom have awakened. They are a percentage of the population greater than the elite bargained for. The elite believed they had a majority of Americans dumbed down, their understanding of history and love for freedom had died (or so they thought). They believed they had the vast majority of Americans dumbed down into thinking our nation is a democracy, where 51% gets to tell the other 49% what to do, think, say, eat, feel, buy and believe. They thought that those two “victories” would allow them to strike the final blow to our Constitution and our way of life, paving the way for the New World Order.
They were wrong.
While it is true, most Americans were asleep and off chasing the materialism enabled by our dishonest monetary system, sleep is a very different thing than being dead. Ask anyone who has stumbled upon a bear in hibernation or come upon any other wild animal when the animal did not expect it. They can become ferocious very quickly.
And that people, is why this health care legislation is so dangerous. The asleep have awakened. They see that health care is but one of a growing number of threats to their way of life. And that way of life, which was focused on material things, is slowing refocusing on an object in the distance that they had lost sight of. Freedom.
Health care is now the prod that the elite are unwittingly using to jab at the awakened animal – Americans who actually value freedom over the perceived security of the welfare state. They do not understand that this animal, at least a significant number of those that make it up, will fight their way back to that distant object and will in fact die in an effort to reclaim it for them and their posterity. The elite thought those people simply no longer existed.
Here is the reality. Whether or not you agree with that small percentage of the American population that make up this animal, 2%, 3%, 5%, 10%? who will literally fight to the death to reclaim freedom – whether or not you join them, stand against them, or remain passively by in an attempt to remain “neutral” – you will not be exempt from the consequences if it gets that far.
Do the math. One million private citizens standing for freedom at whatever the cost will mean a long, difficult and bloody struggle. It would not leave a life untouched in this country.
So, once again – deal with reality or it will deal with you. If you are not doing everything in your power to stop the evil coming from Washington. If you are not on your knees, crying out to God for mercy. If you are not calling your family, friends and church into repentance for the many sins of our nation…
Be careful. The consequences of doing nothing has never been greater.

First of all, I hate to say “I told you so,” but HB1207 has been gutted. If it had passed the House, it would have never made it past the Senate. As it is, they won’t have to worry about that.

Also, something to watch on the flu front. Right now they don’t think this is the swine flu, but you never know. While not by any means a fan of the vaccination, I still want to watch carefully what transpires here and if there is any mutation that would make it more serious.

Alert Level Orange
It is time to cut to the chase on a few issues. There is an always present reality that there are only so many hours in a day. Thus I have to ask the Lord to give me clarity and focus on what He wants me to be focused on. Now that my time has shifted away from the investment arena, there have been many things clamoring to take its place. First of all, I am committed to writing my next book, as I clearly feel God is leading me to do so. Yet that cannot be my sole focus for this ministry.
I find myself becoming more and more uneasy about the next 6 months. There is a growing dichotomy in the main stream media and those who are truly “in the know” about what is happening in our world and in the economy. Spin from the MSM is reaching an all time high. Yet the spin is losing its traction as is evidenced by the number of citizens who are increasingly upset with our elected officials regarding their handling of everything from health care to the economy. While a full court press is being put on by the Obama administration, his poll numbers are weakening noticeably. This is a dangerous situation when a man like him, who has an agenda he so deeply believes in, is in power.
Obama doesn’t care what the American people think. He continues to press his agenda in the face of deteriorating poll numbers. Yet many of those in Congress still have political instincts and seek to keep their power. In short, they want to get re-elected. Thus they are having a more difficult time ignoring the growing chorus of anger in the voices of their constituents. This leaves Obama in a desperate situation. He knows that if health care fails to pass in the next two weeks, it could find the same fate as “Hillary care” did in the early 90′s. His overall agenda to socialize the nation will have been dealt a huge blow. Desperate people do desperate things. It is difficult to tell what Obama will do if his health care boondoggle looks like it really may not pass.
Add to that, the bankster’s bank, Goldman Sacs is getting a huge amount of scrutiny over their profit machine, having cannibalized their competition and received $13 billion through the back door of AIG. The whole situation reeks with insider privilege they were given during the great financial crash of fall 08′. It is becoming increasingly clear that the Goldman machine is in control of a great deal more than a large financial company in the US. Their influence permeates banking and reaches deep into the government. What is being exposed is the long rumored, yet plainly visible, unhealthy “influence” (some would say control) of our political system.
Finally, we have Ron Paul’s HR 1207 bill gaining support by the week. Seeking to peek under the hood of the Fed is a non-starter for the banking system. Yet political pressure that they cannot control is moving the ball forward. So far they have been able to stall it in committee due to the bought and paid for Barney Frank position. However, it seems like the pressure may be getting to be too much.
And that is what bothers me. We have a situation where a narcissistic globalist in the White House and for the first time, he is being told “no”. We have the banksters in danger of being exposed for who they are – the real power behind our Federal government. And we have an economic backdrop that is very, very weak. Our foreign creditors are increasingly vocal about their “concerns.” States are ready to go bankrupt, beginning with the 7th largest economy in the world – California. Commercial real estate is a disaster breaking over the horizon of the banking sector. Job losses continue to mount. And the list goes on.
In short, what we have is the perfect setup for the banksters to pull what they did in 1907. That is, to create an economic panic in order to knock the public off their trail and to take advantage of the crisis – there is that phrase again – to re-group and continue with their agenda as the shell shocked public cowers in fear and submission.
Like I said, I just don’t like the feel of things. Is it a check from the Holy Spirit? It could be, however I am not declaring “thus sayeth the Lord” on any of this. However, as I ask the Lord for wisdom as I look at the present situation and weigh that against historical precedent, I do not like what I see.
Combine that with a growing number of analysts who are looking for a major dollar event and possible bank holiday sometime between September and November, and I have to put out a strong warning at this time. If you have gotten complacent in any of your preparations or have let your emergency cash reserves drop, replenish them now. Gold moving above $950 could be sending a signal that the next phase of this crisis is ready to begin. I do not look for anything major in the next few weeks, and in fact would not be surprised to see a surge in the DOW to well over 9000 as the insiders dump their shares on the unsuspecting public again.
But come late August into fall, be very careful. We could have a repeat of last fall. And this time not all of the markets will act the same. Last fall, the crisis was about the global financial system. The resulting policy responses have caused it to morph into a currency crisis – one that has yet to be fully felt. Thus, during the next wave of panic, the dollar certainly won’t be seen as a safe haven. Oh sure, in the initial wave down it could see some buying. However it will not be sustained if it even happens. In fact a free fall to the low 60′s could be in the offing by winter.
It’s time to re-focus people. I have often maintained that in the end, if the people prevail in this struggle for freedom from the grip of the bankers, the list of names who will stand trial and find themselves in prison will shock us. The whole rotten, corrupt, incestuous system is moving closer to being exposed. Don’t think for a minute they will let that happen at this stage. They still have too much control.
We have enjoyed a respite by the grace of God. I believe it will be solidly in the rear view mirror within the next 6 months.
Ponder this for a day or two.
Man without God will seek to dominate his fellow man. Historically, the only things that have kept powerful men from successfully dominating the world are geography and technology.
This thought recently came to me and when it did, it was another “eureka” moment – one that crystallized the connection between what we are seeing today and where it will lead tomorrow. While I highly doubt what I stated is an original idea, it is none-the-less accurate. Ponder it within the context of biblical and secular history. Then some of what I am about to discuss on the private blog won’t be quite so surprising. I will follow up with another posting that expands on that statement in a day or two.
Running out of time…
One of the most challenging aspects of putting your thoughts out in cyberspace is where to draw the line. How much of what you are processing through your grid do you share with the public at large? Especially when your grid is a bit different than most. Also, one fact that is often overlooked in our culture today is that the idea of personal privacy has nearly been wiped from the consciousness of Americans. It is absolutely astounding the personal information people throw up onto the web for all to see. They don’t realize or care that any time a person voluntarily shares information about themselves or their thoughts and opinions on the internet, it immediately becomes public record and is cached forever in the archives of Google and other internet sources. Once put in the public domain, it has left the realm of privacy. Those thoughts can and will be used against you in a court of law, should an incident arise where your guild or innocence over a matter should be in dispute. If you question that, then watch this video series (long but revealing, and I apologize secular, so sometimes a bit crude).
Furthermore, as we have recently been witness to the fact that your thoughts and opinions can now be used by our government and law enforcement agencies to profile you, and while thoughts are cannot be used to convict as guilty (yet), they can be used to presume possible guilt. This in-and-of-itself is a very disturbing trend and one which I will address in the future.
Because of this reality, I find myself at an interesting crossroads. I have arrived at some, shall we say, less than main stream views on what the future holds for this nation and what will be required of us as citizens and as Christians. Some of these ideas will likely make a significant number of people uncomfortable for various reasons. Why?
A friend of mine and I were talking on the phone today. Our discussion briefly went down the track of how intelligent people who are given clear historical facts, are presented with undeniable cultural and economic trends and then are presented with actions they can take to deal with those two bits of information will, in many if not most cases, choose to do nothing. We talked about various psychological impediments to individual’s being able to embrace a rapid change in the grid that defines how they view life. We didn’t camp there long, as it wasn’t the main point of discussion. However, it got me thinking afterward about the dichotomy I am seeing now in our nation. The very people who are paralyzed from proactively taking precautions to a clear and present danger (economic and political) are passively allowing the source of that danger to force “change” upon them that they are increasingly uncomfortable with.
Pravda, of all newspapers, wrote an article recently where they marveled at how the citizens of the United States are allowing Marxism to envelope this country with little more than a whimper from the people. Yes, Pravda is propaganda used by the Russian government. Yet the Russian people are certainly well aware of the process by which control is exerted over a nation’s people, and while they do not truly understand what it is to be truly free, they recognize it when they see people who are living free – or should I say were. They know the path we are on – the path to state control of our lives in ways that no other generation in our nation’s history would have ever allowed to take root here.
People, we have not yet reached the point of no return when it comes to sound economic policy or limited government. We are however, past the point of easy return. We are even past the point of difficult return. We are now at the point of a very painful return on both fronts. Whether or not we choose to walk that painful path is yet to be determined. That assertion will be more fully explained in soon to be published entries.
Because of this, I have come to the conclusion that it is long past the time to withhold giving you my thoughts and perspectives on just how challenging life is going to be. I could not face you 12, 24, 36 months from now and have you ask “Doug, if you saw this coming and had an idea how to prepare, why didn’t you tell us?” Thus, it is time to give practical – and urgent – advice on how to prepare for life in the years ahead. I am not an expert in all of these areas, however I have friends and acquaintances whom I consider very knowledgeable in these areas who will also contribute. This isn’t the stuff of survivalist blogs, although some of it will seem like it to many of you. Rather, it is real, bear bones, take the gloves off advice and disclosure of the reasons behind our troubles that you need to hear.
And that is where the challenge lies.
There are numerous Scriptures where Jesus said “For those with eyes to see, let them see. For those with ears to hear, let them hear.” What He was saying was that not everyone was ready, willing or able to accept what He said. Likewise, not everyone is ready to hear the hard truth about what is going on in our country and what it means moving into the next few years. They are still forming a grid with which to process the evil that is enabled through man’s use of dishonest weights and measures. This blog will continue to be for the foreseeable future a place to help form the basic grid, and that’s OK. It takes time to spin up a new grid. However time has become a precious commodity.
Additionally, posting challenging (and controversial) information on a public facing blog would, for a host of reasons, be unwise. Thus, I am moving toward setting up a second blog. It would be viewable by registration/subscription only. Initially, there will be no charge to have access. If the information presented is helpful, it would be appreciated if people would consider supporting this ministry on their own free will. With some exciting things happening that are due to roll out later this summer, it may make sense to change that policy, but I’ll cross that bridge if and when I come to it.
So there it is. During my time away, the Lord crystallized some thoughts I had been having for some time and provided me with fresh vision for the ministry. Let’s just say that moving forward, “Traditions of Men” will not be as focused on our monetary problems. While it is a primary problem in this nation and the world, there is so much more happening that needs addressed. I pray the Lord will give me wisdom and guidance on how to do it, and will assemble a team of people to assist me with the task.
I do this for one reason only. I love Jesus and my brothers and sisters in Christ. This truly is a labor of love for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.
Swine Flu
I don’t normally post on Sunday, but this could be a significant issue, and if this turns into a pandemic, it will become widespread within days. How much of a threat is it? Here is some analysis from a site I am aware of that digs into the issues beyond the surface layer.
“From a variety of sources, including some in Homeland Security, this is what I think I know:
It is a unique strain of swine flu combining genetic material from pigs, birds and humans in a way researchers have not seen before.
CDC officials described the virus as having a unique combination of gene segments not seen before in people or pigs. The bug contains human virus, avian virus from North America and pig viruses from North America, Europe and Asia. It may be completely new, or it may have been around for a while and was only detected now through improved testing and surveillance, CDC officials said. — Associated Press
It is apparently transmitted both by contact and aerosol (coughing, etc.) Because of its characteristics, it was thought by some that it might be a designer, i.e. weaponized, virus deliberately set loose. This is now thought unlikely for two reasons: first, it is not universally deadly and second it apparently responds to Tamiflu and Relenza.
Roche, the maker of Tamiflu, said the company is prepared to immediately deploy a stockpile of the drug if requested. Both drugs must be taken early, within a few days of the onset of symptoms, to be most effective. — AP and confirmed by DHS/CDC sources (MBV)
The cat is out of the bag, and this flu will run its course across the world. There will be no quarantine containment. DHS believes the Mexican statistics are certainly understated as to size of infected population and death rate (6% claimed, likely at least double that). Of the few US cases admitted, none have died. The difference may be that a. DHS is trying to keep a lid on panic by understating statistics, b. that the increased comfort distance of Americans versus Mexicans minimizes spread, (Also, Mexicans are more likely to kiss each other and shake hands than the average American) or c. that American access to excellent health care and early intervention plays a key role in survivability.
The fact that the Mexicans report that the mortality of the virus seems to hit hardest at the 25 to 45 year old range is consistent with the 1919 flu pandemic and this as much as anything has scared folks in DHS.
The defensive protocol seems to be N-95 or better medical masks and access to Tamiflu. Handwashing, of course. Stock in hand sanitizers should shoot through the roof. Wear masks when out. (Although there is some argument about definitive utility of masks, it is certainly better to be masked than not.) Depending upon how bad this gets (and especially whether it mutates again into something more vicious) stock up on things you don’t want to have to go out to get: fuel, food (don’t forget the pets), bottled water, etc. (This flu, though a swine variant, reportedly hits harder with vomiting, diarrhea and dehydration than classic swine flu.) Make no unnecessary trips.
I am waiting for more information from a variety of sources and will pass it along as I get it. In the mean time, take preps. Get those N95 or better masks first, and get them to fit all your loved ones. The ones that fit smaller faces are available (for now) though harder to find.”
So there it is from someone who has some info from the Department of Homeland Security. It doesn’t appear to be bio-terrorism. It doesn’t appear to be a highly deadly flu strain, although 6% mortaility in Mexico is quite high compared to normal flu, and Mexico is likely underreporting the facts. It also appears to be very contagious.
Mexico City has canceled all public events. That in itself should tell you that this is not a “normal” flu in any way shape or form. Take precautions as you feel led.
Rollover
In 1981 a movie was made whereby the premise was that Arabs would withdraw huge amounts of money from banks, causing a global financial meltdown. The title of the move is “Rollover.” For over a year now I have been trying to find it to rent it. The premise of the movie is quite prescient based on today’s situation. The nature of the problem and the results of a global economic meltdown were told in stark terms, unlike the sugar coated messages we all receive today from the media.
Here is a YouTube clip of part of the movie. It is about 7 minutes long and is interesting from the standpoint of its accuracy in describing what we have experienced today and could very well experience in the months ahead.
The part in the clip I find most interesting is where the one who seems to understand the problem best (I can’t remember the actor’s name) explains everything the government and banks will do to try to stop the problem. They are many of the same steps we have seen taken today. His answer after each one is “it won’t work.” The only significant change I would make in the story line of the movie as it applies today, is that it isn’t the Arab banks who will likely make this move (although that is possible), but rather the exodus from the dollar will be led by China. The results will, sadly, be the same as portrayed in the movie.
The rollover of foreign US dollar denominated assets into non-US dollar assets has begun. What we haven’t seen yet is the overwhelming wave of assets being rolled over at one time. However, the failure of the G20 summit to address the fundamental problem – that of the global monetary system’s inherent instability – guarantees that inevitability. While the US and UK pushed for the status quo, the BRIC nations (Brazil, Russia, India and China) were pushing for a change to a new reserve currency. This resulted in a stalemate – for now. The old guard never wants to willingly give up power. The new guard, at this time, has chosen to continue to play along for awhile.
China is quietly striking deals to trade in Yuan with other nations. They are slowing their purchases of US bonds. They have no reason to do this if they feel the US dollar has any longevity as the world’s reserve currency. That is the way this type of diplomacy works. Voice your concern. When the powers that be say “no”, then quietly go about going around them and preparing to make them irrelevant.
How long China “plays along” we cannot know for certain, however when the next wave of the financial crisis hits, it is likely if not probable, that the rollover will take place. All I can say, is that the next wave is coming. Most people I am reading/listening to believe it will be by this fall.

The news regarding the bleak state of city and state government budgets is beginning to make headlines -Los Angeles in Financial Trouble.
There are many more problems ahead, not the least of which is the impending bankruptcy of GM. This would have a huge impact in the nation’s economy and financial world as hundreds of thousands more jobs would be lost in the auto industry and hundreds of billions of dollars in toxic assets (read derivatives/credit default swaps) written on GM debt go to a value of near 0.
I don’t want to dwell on the bad economic situation too long. However you all must know that the stock market rally that we have had was engineered on the back of supposed improving conditions in the financial market. What we are experiencing is the passing of the first squall in this perfect financial storm. There is so much more to come. True, the system was pulled from the brink of failure. During the past 6 months the main focus of the market was on the financial system and it’s problems. As important as that is, the focus will now shift to the underlying global economy, which the financial system is but a subset of. And it is bad and getting worse.
What is more, the markets are beginning to (correctly) suspect the phony “profits” that have been reported in the financial sector. The headlines from today are saying the sell off in the markets are partially due to the reality dawning on traders that they may have been had. I am looking for a breakdown in the markets here with a possible (outside chance in my opinion) that we could see one more push to a newer short term high. Then, back to reality.
Marginalize, Demonize, Eliminate
Those are the three steps that are taken by tyrannical governments to remove opposition to their plans. This is exactly what is happening now to anyone who claims to be religious, who agrees with the Constitution, stands for national sovereignty, is pro-life, etc. etc. In other words – if you are conservative in any way, you are being targeted for elimination. Now, do I mean killed? No. I do mean your values and freedoms are being targeted for elimination.
Over the past several months, since Obama took office, the process has moved from marginalization (which has been ongoing for years by the liberals) to demonization, which is the process of turning the majority of the public against those who have been marginalized.
This week Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano allowed an intelligence assessment to be issued to law enforcement agencies that said some military veterans could be susceptible to extremist recruiters and lone acts of violence.

So now add the brave veterans who have served our country in the military to the list of those who are potential “domestic terrorists.” These people being the ones who laid their life on the line in many cases to defend this nation from real terrorists and who now are swearing to keep their oath to defend the Constitution from all enemies “foreign and domestic.” This certainly is threatening to those who are in power now and are bent on bringing our nation into the new world order. It is a major contributing factor to the rise of “tea parties” and other protests from “we the people.” That is – those who even understand what “we the people” means.

Yet, what are we to do? How do we throw cold water in the faces of frightened anonymous bureaucrats and tell them to “get a grip”? The truth is, we cannot.
Thus these panicked partisans fulfill their own prophecy. They take law-abiding people who are already suspicious of the government’s competence and motives and provide evidence that convinces the citizenry that their suspicions are fully justified.
Normally the people should be able to count on the adult supervision in the Congress to prevent a reckless executive branch from compounding its error. Nixon and Clinton come to mind.
But in the present circumstance the hysteria is fully embraced by the Democrat leadership in Congress and by the talking heads of the liberal media.
There ARE NO ADULTS on this playground and the frightened bully has a submachine gun.
I know this because I have seen it before.”
The Heller Decision Looms Large
If this nation survives as a free and democratic republic, I believe when the history books are written in the decades to come (assuming the Lord tarries), the decision the Supreme Court handed down last June in the District of Columbia vs. Heller will be looked at as a key component to that victory. This decision upheld that the Constitution’s second amendment protects the rights of individuals to keep and bear arms.
Had Heller been struck down, along with all of the other globalist agenda that is being forced upon us at this time, would be a massive crack down on the sale of any and all weapons, paving the way for the government to disarm its citizens. History shows that once a government takes that step – to disarm the public – then tyranny, oppression and the elimination of all opposition follow in short order. The Founding Fathers knew well that the second amendment’s purpose, among other things, was to allow “we the people” to protect ourselves from a tyrannical government. With that decision affirmed – and in fact with a rapidly growing number of those who are exercising their 2A rights – we have hope that our nation will not be stolen from us without a fight.
Now before you jump to any conclusions about what I am saying here, let me clarify. With a disarmed population, there would be no deterrent for the government to forcefully impose their will on the people. However, with hundreds of millions of fire arms in the hands of the people, there is hope that the government will think twice before engaging in the types of tactics other tyrannical governments have practiced in the past.
The United States is unique in so many ways, not the least of which are the first and second amendments of the Constitution. That is why they are the ones under greatest attack right now. Remove them, and the foundation of a free nation crumbles.
While I am not advocating a violent revolution. I do however, recognize the importance of the second amendment when it comes to the ability of our nation to remain a free republic. Here is the sad reality. Historically – when governments push too far with an agenda that marginalizes a significant percentage of the population, then begins to demonize and eliminate them – they often fight back with any means possible. In our case, the means we have is formidable. If it gets desperate enough, the result could be a chapter in this nation’s history that is marked with bloodshed similar to what our nation saw during the revolutionary and civil wars. I truly pray this doesn’t even come close to happening.
I write all of this dear reader, to get you to think. My prayer is that this socialist/globalist agenda Juggernaut can be slowed before it is too late. My concerns are many, not the least of which is that we have 18 months until the next election cycle. That is far too long based on the speed with which our economy and freedoms are failing. Without a peaceful political outlet for the voices to be heard, I am concerned about what choices will be left.
So you are left to consider all possibilities. One of the areas many Christians struggle with is – if and when is it permissible to go to arms to protect our nation? I am eternally grateful that God gave me and my family this nation to live in, however my first responsibility is to the cause of Christ. Understanding that the cause of Christ has been advanced further in this world because of the foundation of our free nation than from any other platform, I ask myself, what did Paul mean when he said:
“Let each one remain in the same calling in which he was called. Were you called while a slave? Do not be concerned about it; but if you can be made free, rather use it. For he who is called in the Lord while a slave is the Lord’s freedman. Likewise he who is called while free is Christ’s slave. You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men. Brethren, let each one remain with God in that state in which he was called.” 1 Cor 7:20-24 (emphasis mine)
The study of freedom and slavery in the Bible is a fascinating one. I do not claim to have the complete answer, and the above Scripture is only one that touches on the subject. However it is clear that freedom is the preferred state.
Today’s blog entry is written to make you think. While I am not saying a violent revolt in the aftermath of economic collapse will happen. However consider the following.
- The G20 failed in its mission to put forth a plan to deal with the real issues
- The global economy is continuing to deteriorate
- Geopolitical tensions are growing
- People are feeling threatened and ignored
- Our government is pushing full throttle an agenda that would undermine our national sovereignty
- They are broadening their definition of “the enemy”
All of the above are growing in their intensity, not lessening. If most were subsiding, I would fell less compelled to put this in front of you for consideration. Unfortunately, time may be short. You must decide where you stand on these issues. A post rollover world, should it come, will be a difficult one to engage in prayerful thought. Better that you know where you stand, have your plans, and are ready to move forward, than be struggling with the emotions following should an economic collapse and erupting violence occur. Pray. Plan. Prepare.
