Understanding “The Matirx”
As a Christian, you are responsible before God for your actions. James 4:17 says “Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.” This now leaves you at a point of decision. Do you continue to learn about what God’s Word says about money? If you do, will you apply it to your life by taking God at His word?
There are two facts that you must first understand before reading further. They are: 1) today’s mainstream media does not give you the complete picture of what is happening in our country or our world and 2) nearly every piece of information you receive through the media has some kind of bias behind it. It is being filtered though a world view. Most of the information you are given is incomplete at best, or at worst it is deliberately misleading. This is either because of their ignorance, neglect or purpose. Because the information is incomplete, it leaves Christians and US citizens in a bit of a fog, not being able to see clearly.
In the 1999 movie, The Matrix a man named Neo has a sense that everything around him is not as it appears. Consequently it sends him on a quest to find “the truth”. His journey leads him to a man named Morpheus, who shows him that he is part of a grand simulation that is being fed to him - and all humanity - in order to keep them happy. Meanwhile they are actually slaves to an evil force.
I submit to you that Americans, are being fed information from the media and government that is incomplete or inaccurate in order to keep us happy. Why? Our materialistic society has become so obsessed with making money and acquiring “things” that our entire economy is dependent on keeping that engine going. Now that Americans are being forced to curtail our consumption, the worldwide economy is going into a tailspin. Politicians, who derive their power from a happy consumer, do not want that to happen. Thus we are fed misleading information about our economy. Nobody wants to admit that our debt has made us all slaves to one degree or another. Yet slaves we are.
In The Matrix, Neo has a choice. He can take a blue pill that will keep him in the matrix for the rest of his life. He will be unaware of the real world. Or he can take a red pill. This will open his eyes to the unseen. But once he takes the pill, he can never go back. In some respects, that is where you are now dear reader. The information you will discover through this web site and my book “Fool’s Gold - How the Traditions of Men Have Replaced God’s Honest Money”, will expose you to information you probably haven’t been aware of. And your view of our country and our world may never be the same. It is your choice from here.
