Nancy’s view of Obamacare

There is nothing American nor biblical about this.  The bible talks about the slothful not being able to eat, let alone have free health care.

Illegal immigration – the next hot button issue

United States Flag Upside Down Mexican Flag

United States Flag Upside Down Under Mexican Flag

Just has has been predicted, illegal immigration will be the next agenda item for the Obama administration. The law that was courageously passed by Arizona will help speed the process.  As with any law, it isn’t perfect.  There are troubling issues about presenting papers to prove citizenship that must be addressed, and the application of the law will surely be tested.

However, I would like to address a hot button topic that I am sure will ruffle a few feathers.  That is the subject of “racial profiling.”  This term has been constructed and defined for the sole purpose of hindering the investigation of crimes by criminals. There are some stubborn things called “facts” that people do not want to deal with when it comes to the issue of illegal immigration.

  • Fact – The vast, vast majority of illegal immigrants in this nation are Hispanic.  95% plus is a legitimate estimate.
  • Fact – Had we been enforcing laws already on the books, we would not have this problem.
  • Fact – The illegal immigrants have been draining resources from state and local budgets for decades now.  We are in a time economically when we must make the hard choices.
  • Fact – United States citizens are granted rights by our Constitution.  Foreigners are protected from undue persecution and improper trial, but they are not granted the rights of U.S. citizens.

That brings me to the issue of racial profiling.  Let me make my point by an illustration.  It isn’t a pleasant one but makes my point.

If we are to use the logic of those who decry using racial profiling in the enforcement of law, then we would have to apply that logic to other physical characteristics that distinguish one group of people from another.  Take gender for example.  Gender, like race, is something that is easily recognizable (except in some large cities).  Now lets say that law enforcement not only is prohibited from using “racial profiling” but they are also prohibited from using “gender profiling.” Hmm…

It is a fact that over 95% of sexual assaults are committed by men.  What happens when tragically, a woman is assaulted?  She gives a description to police that will help them catch the criminal.  But applying the logic of the left and “racial profiling,” she should not be allowed to identify the gender of her assailant.  It matters not that she saw him.  It matters not that 95% of sexual assaults are committed by men.  She cannot name her assailants gender.  And police must consider males and females alike when investigating the crime.  Rapists would love that law, and I am sure support it wholeheartedly.  If practiced, it would hinder their arrest and imprisonment.

Absurd?  You bet.

What is the difference then when police are sent to investigate a report of a group of Hispanic men who are working a job site yet have not produced identification that they are legally entitled to work.  It needs to be investigated.  All information is taken down.  But the race of the men cannot be identified.  Police must go out and look for them without considering race, despite 95% of illegal aliens are Hispanic (and they could be identified by witnesses as being Hispanic).  Hispanic illegal immigrants would love that law (and they do.)  If practiced, it would hinder their arrest and deportation.

Absurd?  Should be.

In the real world, if such restrictions were placed on law enforcement, (in both cases) they would still use “profiling” to identify suspects.  They know the statistics.  They know who to look for.  Cries of “racial profiling” or “gender profiling” are simply fodder for the criminals to use to hide behind political correctness.

Don’t think for a minute I am equating illegal aliens with rapists other than to make a simple point (yes you lefties, that is the first place you would go with this). The point is this.  In both cases, the people are criminals.  (people don’t want to hear that about Hispanic illegals, yet it is one of those stubborn facts that “reform” wishes to remedy).  In both cases, they have an easily identifiable physical characteristic that drastically shrinks the pool of likely suspects.  Identifying that identifiable characteristic is simply good practice.

Both criminals deserve the punishment the law affords.  Prison for one, deportation for the other.  The latter has the opportunity to do it the right way – apply for citizenship and go through the process if they wish.  But they do not want to follow the law. Instead, they want amnesty – forgiveness without consequence.  I’m sorry, but to be consistent we would then have to apply that standard to the rapist as well.  Maybe not such a good idea after all…

The left wants to assign degrees to the debate to cloud the issue.  It is then that their relativistic worldview comes into plain sight. “You can’t compare a rapist to a Hispanic single mom who is just trying to provide for her family!”  Yes I can, and I just did.  They both have broken the law.  While I would feel empathy for the mother and wish to help her through other means to provide for her family (this is where the church should come in) her breaking of the law cannot be accepted.

Right and wrong.  Standards.  Absolutes.  Difficult things to be sure.  But necessary for a functioning society.

Obama’s Loyalties Exposed

The upcoming debate on the issue of illegal immigration should prove to be an interesting one.  The Obama/Reid/Pelosi axis ignored the will of the majority of Americans and passed Obamacare despite their protests.  Watch what happens if/when they ramrod through an amnesty bill.  They will have pressed forward with the wishes of a small minority of foreigners (some of whom by the way hoisted their flag above an upside down American flag at a school in California when immigration reform with some teeth was proposed in 2006).  What a contrast!  The fallout of such a move should be interesting to watch. It will certainly make clear that their agenda and loyalties are not with the U.S. citizen and the Constitution, but rather with the globalists and the interests of the U.N.

Hold the Race Card Lefties

Oh, and by the way, for those who want to label me a racist because of this post?  Good luck.  I have two adopted Guatemalan sons whom I love dearly.  I would not want them to be subject to discrimination based on their race.  However, if they are in an area where a crime is committed and their “profile” fits the criminal and if there is reasonable cause to suspect they may have been involved – let the questions be asked.  Their innocence would soon be evident.

The agenda of the left is being exposed more and more each day.  They are rushing toward the finish line of Marxism as fast as they can run.  Has “the great awakening” of the tea party come in time to stop them? In part, that answer depends on your participation.  We will know within a few short years.

Goldman and the SEC. Bigger than you might think.

Goldman Sachs

This is a long one, so grab a cup of coffee…

Well, well.  With the SEC today coming out and accusing Goldman Sachs of fraud in their involvement with the toxic assets spewed from sub-prime mortgages, we have likely entered yet another phase in the great destruction of our ponzi fiat money system.  I do not wish to overstate this event, however time will tell if what is written here may be an understatement.

In July of 2008 I wrote this regarding the looming financial crisis:

“What we have coming now (by now, I mean in the next few weeks to a couple of months at best) appears to be the next major period of this financial crisis. It is becoming increasingly evident that the world’s central banks, and our Fed in particular, have not begun to solve the problems associated with the crisis. The Fed has announced that they will extend the time frame which financial institutions can “borrow” the Fed’s assets in exchange for their junk (CDO’s, CDS’s etc). This is just a confirmation that they cannot ever give this junk back to the banks. The Fed will hold it, as it is worthless. And likely someday in the not too distant future, they will monetize it when it is clear that the value is never coming back. By then they hope it will be forgotten.

Add to that, the downgrade of MBIA and AMBAC a few weeks ago (and warned about for months here that it would be a BIG deal when it happened), and the problems associated with those downgrades now making their way into the headlines. (Municiple Market “Fire in the Disco” Burns Borrowers) Now you have MBIA and Ambac beating a retreat…

Add to that the investigation of Moodys and S&P for their ratings of this toxic junk (SEC Rating Probe Reveals Conflicts in Grading Debt). What the financial crisis does not do to cause the bankruptcy of dozens of entities, litigation will.

In a minute I will explain why I believe that statement to be accurate. But first let’s look at the day’s events. Do you think today’s announcement by the Securities and Exchange Commission and Obama’s announcement of new banking reform were coincidence?  Not a chance.  You see, Washington knows that people are plenty angry at the Fed, big banks, bailouts, and the like.  The Tea Party movement that Obama finds “amusing” actually does have their attention.  So, it is time for them to dust off the old “The public is mad at Washington.  The public thinks bankers are bad – what to do about it” playbook.

For over a century, when the public has become unhappy with the banksters they call an old reliable play, and it looks like this.  1)  Set up their own opposition within Washington, by having some politicians call the bankers “greedy,” “out of control” and in need of “regulation” or “reform.”  2). Run a dog and pony show as they “get tough” with those evil bankers.  3) Slap a few wrists, let a couple of execs “retire” or leave for “other opportunities.”  4) Fine the bank (or banks) in question a few million dollars (not that long ago a “million”  seemed like a big number).  5) Maybe even pass some toothless legislation. Presto!  Touchdown!  The public anger would subside.  Back to the business of fraud and cronyism.

Sorry – not going to happen this time.  When you call a trick play too often, it gets stuffed.  This one is going to get stuffed in a big way.   Here’s why…

1) This time is different. Unlike the past, there are a number of factors in play now that will not allow the public anger to subside with mere grand standing and political posturing.

2) The numbers are too big. We are talking about fraud in the trillions when OTC derivatives are factored in. It was stated right after the Madoff scandal broke that the ponzi scheme the big banks were running would make his operation look like a drop in the ocean if it were ever to come to light.  It now will.

3) There is a political backlash that has people organized and mobilized. And it isn’t just about the bankers, bailouts and taxes.  The distrust the public has of Washington in the aftermath of the health care debacle has caused them to begin to look into every aspect of government.  And…

4) The public is – gasp! – becoming informed on the real issues of the day. That is never good for Washington. While there is considerable noise on the internet that must be filtered through, a much larger segment of the American public is digging deeper into the issues of fraud, corruption, control, plans for a new world order, the history of fiat money, the original intent of the Constitution, and the remedy’s “we the people” were given when the Federal government gets out of control, which leads to a big one…

4) States are under growing pressure to stand up to Washington on a host of issues. This at the same time most states are on the verge of bankruptcy (the actual kind – where people know about it).  There are many a state politician (including some aggressive state Attorneys General) who will see this as a golden opportunity to 1) litigate and to go after hundreds of billions in settlements. Remember the whole tobacco company fiasco not that long ago?  Think that, only much, much larger and at a time when the states really need the money and 2) make their political careers.  Just think how popular one would be if they were responsible for exposing the banksters fraud, getting some of them thrown in jail and at the same time bringing home billions.  High motivation indeed. That leads to the REALLY big one.

5) The discovery process will expose the entire derivatives fraud. As long as these lawsuits stayed in the second tier banks and non-banking entities, the fraud could be kept from public site.  But Goldman?  If the AG’s are any good, they will bring to light the entire fraud of the off balance sheet OTC derivatives market and the unbelievable risk the banksters played with the future of this nation, knowing if they were wrong, they would be bailed out.  All that needs to happen to call “checkmate” on our fiat ponzi scheme is to bring OTC’s into the full light.  Discovery of a suit against Goldman on these very securities will do just that.

So.  There it is.  I believe what we saw today is bigger than most people think.  Will it play out this way?  I don’t know, but I doubt it.  What happened today simply set in motion the above scenario, which in itself would unfold over a few years.  I doubt we will see it fully play out – at least not in any organized manner.   The economic and social implications are too great. At some point if the economy goes completely off the tracks and/or there is significant social unrest, the process could be re-routed in any number of directions.  Few of them good in the short term.  But we still have hope.  In the aftermath of this, we WILL have a different nation.  Your actions and mine between now and then will in large part determine what that nation looks like.

The love of money….  Does anyone still doubt 1 Tim 6:10?

Bank failure rate increases.

For the past year, banks have been failing at a rate of about three per week.  What has been odd is that it isn’t an average of three per week.  It has usually been very close to three per week. There is something suspicious about that in-and-of-itself.  Do you really think that banks have become insolvent in a linear manner?  That is, each and every week three banks fail, then wallah! the next week three more?  Hardly.

The damage done by the financial crisis has left hundreds (and many estimates put the number over 2000) banks insolvent.  What you are seeing is a managed process of closing banks in an attempt to avoid a panic.  What would happen to the managed psyche of the nation if over the next month 10 to 15 banks were closed each week.

Add to that the fact the FDIC does not have the resources (personnel or financial) to handle a closure rate much faster they are allowing and the number “3″ per week makes perfect sense.  It is not reality however, and reality is something the PTB do not want the American people to have to face – until it suites their agenda and they need to take advantage of a crisis.

Something strange happened this week however.  The failure rate more than doubled.  Seven banks were allowed to be identified as failed this week. Sure is nice to sneak these others in while people are distracted with Christmas isn’t it?   The lengths to which the PTB are managing our expectations of all things economic and political continues to grow.  And while one week does not a trend make, it will bear watching closely.  If the rate increase sticks, it will mean that 2010 will be a bad year for bank closings and that sometime during the year the sheeple will wake up and realize that OZ is pulling on levers that no longer have much effect.

Do you enjoy being manipulated?  I know I don’t.  It won’t end until the political and banking system in this nation change.  Are you ready to join the effort?
