The insanity of Wal-Mart.

This is where it goes people.  If you are in an animated conversation on your cell phone in a Wal-Mart parking lot, prepare to have a S.W.A.T. team descend on you, pull you out of your car, throw you to the ground and lock you up.  After all, “We don’t take these things lightly.”  Question is, when will “we the people” quit taking things like this lightly?  This happened in my home state…

Kirksville, Mo. —

A report of an armed man acting erratically in the Wal-Mart parking lot Wednesday led to the store being temporarily locked down before Kirksville Police responded to and defused the situation with no injuries.

According to Kirksville Police Chief Jim Hughes, a passerby stopped a Kirksville Police officer and said they had seen an individual acting erratically in a truck in the Wal-Mart parking lot shortly before 2:30 p.m. The passerby believed the individual had a gun to his head.

“We don’t take these things lightly,” Hughes said, “especially nowadays.”

Changing Minds
by Hellesponte & Kerodin
January 28, 2011

Have you ever been face to face with a guy who is bigger, faster, stronger, and meaner than you, who also wants to rip your head from your shoulders?  For whatever reason, there is nothing at hand like a pistol or tire iron, you’ve got nothing but your skills and your intellect.  You start looking at him the way a sapper looks at a building.  If you take out his knees, it’s over.  That’s the weak spot.

But there is quite a bit that can go wrong before you get the opportunity to kick his knee 90 degrees the wrong way.

The better option: Change his mind.

MLK. Food for thought.

Note who he wrote it to.
This is a long read and worth it.  There are many principles that Dr. King brings forth that are applicable today.  Ask yourself – who are the oppressed?  The number of people groups are many.  Who is ignoring the pleas of the oppressors?  The same government officials that ignored the pleas of the black community 50 years ago. Dr. King makes a case for resistance.  Where are today’s resistors?  He turns to the church for support, but receives none.  Sound familiar?
It’s the rhyme of history again.  This time the stakes are just as high as they were 50 years ago.  The struggle for freedom is now not just for blacks, but main street America.  And a daunting struggle it will be.

LETTER FROM BIRMINGHAM JAIL
April 16, 1963

MY DEAR FELLOW CLERGYMEN:

While confined here in the Birmingham city jail, I came across your recent statement calling my present activities “unwise and untimely.” Seldom do I pause to answer criticism of my work and ideas. If I sought to answer all the criticisms that cross my desk, my secretaries would have little time for anything other than such correspondence in the course of the day, and I would have no time for constructive work. But since I feel that you are men of genuine good will and that your criticisms are sincerely set forth, I want to try to answer your statements in what I hope will be patient and reasonable terms.

Man faces charges for defying TSA agents

A Seattle man’s trial in Albuquerque on charges of making trouble at an airport security checkpoint is getting attention from civil liberties groups all over the country.

Phil Mocek was arrested at the Albuquerque Sunport in November of 2009 after he refused to show I.D. to TSA officers at the security checkpoint. Police say Mocek became disruptive. They arrested him and charged him with disorderly conduct, refusing to obey an officer, criminal trespassing, and concealing his identity. After many delays, his trial in Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court was scheduled to begin this morning, but the judge ordered it postponed until January 20.

Get ready for the battle

We are now officially entering into the next critical series of disruptions that will shape this nation’s future.  The combination of political unrest and economic turmoil that is coming in the next 12 to 36 months will be of the kind that is unprecedented in modern times.  There are only two other periods in this nation’s history that are comparable. Neither were times of peace.

There is a confluence of events occurring that, depending on the magnitude of each, will determine just how rocky our future path to liberty – or increased tyranny – will be.

They are:

1) Political turmoil. The Republican establishment has officially “lost it” over Christine O’Donnell’s victory in Delaware.  They tolerated Rand Paul and Sharon Angle.  But O’Donnell is too much for them.  So far the Republican establishment refuses to acknowledge the Tea Party (which is really only made up of true, old style conservatives and libertarians) as a constituency that they need to include in their “big tent.”  That is problematic enough.

However, if they join the Democrats in marginalizing the Tea Party patriots and demonizing them, they risk the wrath of the one group of Americans who are bent on restoring limited government and liberty once again to this nation – by any means necessary. While there is no talk of open revolt at this time within the mainstream Tea Party, it is being whispered in private by more people than they care to admit.  If these people do not find the Republican party willing to give them a voice, in 2012 they will form a third party.  If they are ruthlessly attacked in 2012 while simultaneously growing in membership by the month, then the whispers move to action.  We pray it does not move to that outcome, however right now it looks more likely by the week.

2) The economy. It is only a matter of time before the sovereign debt crisis envelopes the globe. This may happen in 6 months or 2 years, but come it will.  With an economy that is in deep depression, the Federal government will feel all the more emboldened to step in and control everything.  This just when the Tea Party is dedicated to get government out of everything other than what the Constitution delegates.  See the problem?  Bad economy, government growing more tyrannical (for the nation’s good of course), and increasing push back from freedom loving patriots.  We have a volatile mix.

3) Energy crisis.  Simultaneously we have a looming energy crisis.  China knows it.  Germany knows it (their military published a paper outlining concerns over a depleting global energy supply).  The United States may know it, but refuses to deal with it.  Make no mistake, wars will be fought over energy if it becomes either scarce (Peak Oil) or more expensive (geopolitical crisis – Israel/Iran war).

4) The next Great Awakening.  this is probably the most significant of all. The Christian community is waking up.  Slowly.  More slowly than I’d like to see, however, they are.  I have heard more messages of repentance, standing against tyranny, standing for God’s truth, and education of our Christian heritage, being preached in the last 6 months than at any time in my lifetime.  If there is another Great Awakening, we only need to look at history to see what followed.

As the light pushes into the darkness, the darkness does not give up easily.  Increasing persecution will accompany Christians who dare to speak against the pop culture and re-assert “no King but King Jesus.”  The result of such proclamations in the past was nothing short of war.  First the Revolutionary War, then the Southern States’ War for Independence (aka the Civil War). Along the way, Christians will make mistakes.  Burning the Koran is one in particular that may serve to move the conflicts we are dealing with now from a nation vs. nation conflict to a religious one.  Many would argue that the war on terror has always been a religious war.  I’ll refrain from my thoughts on the justification for this war and say that while that assertion may be true, it is more manageable if it is framed as a conflict among nations. It makes the conflict much less emotional than if it is openly declared a religious war. The latter would bring very unpredictable consequences.

Americans refusing to acknowledge this set of realities and prepare for some very difficult times will be caught in a vortex of exploding reality.  The current world view of most Americans, that being a U.S. dominated global community, is going to be shattered within three years, possibly much sooner.  In the wake of that explosion, God’s Word will be the only guide that will take us through the resulting turmoil.

I do hold out hope that, by God’s grace, we have the only government whereby we can transition from today’s paradigm to the new one without going through the worst case scenario.  However, I am also a realist. God’s judgment is overdue on this nation, and we may have to endure it in order to be purified from the horrendous national sin we have fallen into.

Give all you can to the effort to avoid the kind of conflict history shows us is around the corner.  At the same time, make your final preparations to go through it.  We have no guarantee, or even likelihood that it can be avoided.

Already at a college near you.

Do you understand?  They will not stop here.  They have bullied, pushed, threatened and intimidated Christians as they prepare for nearly every profession.  We fight back now.  We don’t just stand and defend, we stand and fight.  Because what starts and universities, makes it to the government schools, then is enforced on the home.  It is the way of the world.  Deal with it.

‘Lose Christianity or face expulsion’

Georgia student told to read ‘gay’ lit, attend ‘pride parade,’ change beliefs

Posted: July 22, 2010, 10:25 pm Eastern By Bob Unruh, © 2010 WorldNetDaily

A lawsuit against Augusta State University in Georgia alleges school officials essentially gave a graduate student in counseling the choice of giving up her Christian beliefs or being expelled from the graduate program.

School officials Mary Jane Anderson-Wiley, Paulette Schenck and Richard Deaner demanded student Jen Keeton, 24, go through a “remediation” program after she asserted homosexuality is a behavioral choice, not a “state of being” as a professor said, according to the complaint.

Also named as defendants in the case that developed in May and June are other administrators and the university system’s board of regents.

The remediation program was to include “sensitivity training” on homosexual issues, additional outside study on literature promoting homosexuality and the plan that she attend a “gay pride parade” and report on it.

The lawsuit, filed by attorneys working with the Alliance Defense Fund, asserted the school cannot violate the Constitution by demanding that a person’s beliefs be changed.

DC Declares War on States

Two questions from me:  1) Do you agree with Dr. Baldwin?  2) If so, do you understand what this means for the United States?

DC Declares War On States

Among the limited duties of the US Government enumerated in the federal Constitution is Article. IV. Section. 4. “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion.” However, for several decades now, the federal government in Washington, D.C., has shown great ambition and propensity to engage in activities to which it was never authorized, and to ignore those responsibilities with which it is specifically charged. The responsibility of the federal government to protect each State against invasion is a classic example of the latter.

Can anyone deny that the states on the US southern border (California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas) are being invaded by an ongoing onslaught of illegal aliens (many of whom are violent and dangerous criminals)? Somewhere between 12 and 30 million illegals now reside in the US. The entire country is feeling the effects of this invasion, but the Border States are literally under siege. And not only does the federal government do nothing to protect the states against this invasion, it actively wars against states such as Arizona when they attempt to protect themselves. Yes, I am saying it: the Washington, D.C., lawsuit against the State of Arizona’s immigration laws should be regarded as an act of war against the State of Arizona in particular, and against the states general in principle.

Please consider what Arizona and the other Border States are dealing with. According to published reports:
